Thousands demonstrated in Paris against far-right presidential candidate Eric Zemmour, who is known in France for using racial and religious slurs against immigrants. Protesters gathered at the Parc d’expositions Villepinte exhibition area, shouted slogans against Zemmour, who launched the 2022 bid rally there. The demonstrators attempted to disrupt commuter trains in order to prevent people from attending the rally. According to local sources, the municipality refused to allow Zemmour to hold a rally in the Zenith concert hall, which had previously been rented for a rally.
