Following the sexual assault and defamation civil lawsuit filed against former President Donald J. Trump by E. Jean Carroll, Trump was found liable for sexually abusing and defaming Carroll. Carroll also alleged that Trump raped her in the dressing room of a New York department store in the 1990s, but Trump was not found guilty of it. The jury awarded Carroll $5 million USD for damages.
