Driver Rescued After 2-Day Cliff Stranding in California

A California driver, stranded for two days after his car plunged off a cliff during an attempt to avoid a deer, has been successfully rescued following extensive search efforts. The California Highway Patrol initiated a search along the coastline between Big Sur and Carmel after the driver, employed by a local business, failed to return home on Sunday night. The authorities located the driver near his vehicle, approximately 400 meters below the cliff, waving a piece of cloth. A helicopter rescue operation was conducted, successfully extracting the driver who had been stuck for two days. The driver, with moderate injuries, was transported to a medical center in Salinas.
