Approximately 150 officers working at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized a sit-in protest in front of the ministry building against the attacks carried out by Israel in the Palestinian regions. Apart from calling for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, the officers protested the government’s stance on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
“We are concerned that the Dutch government has still not called for a permanent ceasefire, and this is the main reason why we are here today,” said Angelique Eijpe, a former ministry employee who resigned last month due to the Dutch authorities’ attitude towards the conflict.
