Egyptian mission discovers new archaeological artifacts in Saqqara

At the presentation of the new discoveries at Gisr el-Mudir in Saqqara, Egypt, statues are on exhibit. Numerous significant archaeological discoveries from the fifth and sixth dynasties of the Old Kingdom were discovered by an Egyptian archaeological team. The report mentioned a collection of Old Kingdom tombs that the team discovered, indicating that the location was a sizable cemetery. The most significant tomb in the pyramid complex of Unas, the last king of the Fifth Dynasty, belonged to Khnumdjedef, an official inspector, noble supervisor, and priest. The tomb is adorned with representations of everyday life.
