Palestinians in Gaza are searching for missing relatives among the unrecognizable remains of bodies returned by Israel under a ceasefire deal, sparking global outrage. Many of the 150 bodies brought to Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis show signs of torture and severe decay.
Families say Israel provided no names, making identification nearly impossible. “The appearance of the bodies has been altered by torture,” said Huda Musabeh, searching for her missing husband.
The Health Ministry in Gaza has launched an online portal with photos to help families identify the dead and appealed for international assistance in the process.
