Tensions escalated in occupied Jerusalem as fanatical Jews organized a Flag Parade on Jerusalem Day. Thousands of participants, carrying Israeli flags, marched from the Damascus Gate to the Wailing Wall, while chanting racist slogans such as “Death to the Arabs” and “Close the villages.” Journalists covering the march faced objects thrown at them, leading to the detention of two individuals.
The far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, who joined the march, expressed his belief in Jerusalem’s everlasting ownership by stating, “Thank God there are tens of thousands of people here, Jerusalem is ours forever.” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu supported the original route of the Flag March as a sign of Israel’s unwavering stance against threats.
