A fire that started in a field in the Silivri district of Türkiye’s Istanbul province spread to two factories that produce plastic. While the fire burned plastic warehouses and grew bigger, the workers were evacuated. Fire brigades from many districts are still battling the flames.

“We are responding with reinforcement fire brigades from 8 districts and all other resources at our disposal. The good news is that we do not have any casualties or injuries. Hopefully, we will extinguish the fire in a short time,” said Silivri District Governor Tolga Toğan.
