Fidan Advances Mecca Defense Pact Talks at UN

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with his Saudi and Pakistani counterparts in New York to advance the Mecca Agreement for Joint Defense. The trilateral discussions took place on the sidelines of the 81st UN General Assembly. Fidan sat down with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan and Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar to review recent progress in their ongoing technical negotiations. The diplomats focused on formalizing their military cooperation and laying the groundwork for the upcoming Strategic Political and Defence Committee session.
