A fire broke out as a result of the ignition of the insulating material during the renovation on the roof of a 3-storey apartment building in Denizli, Turkey. The flames that suddenly covered the roof caused great fear and panic in the surrounding. The smoke rising from the burning building surrounded the sky with a black layer. The fumes were easily observed from most of the city.
A large number of firefighters were dispatched to the area upon the notice. Firefighters at the scene brought the fire under control before it spread to the houses. An investigation has been started regarding the fire, which continues to work on cooling.
