Fire and smoke erupted from the debris of silos in the port of Beirut, Lebanon. According to Lebanese authorities, a series of fires have erupted in recent days as a result of the fermentation of grain remains left inside the silos that were destroyed in the 04 August 2020 deadly port explosion.
Bassam Mevlevi, Minister of Interior of the interim government in Lebanon, stated that the fire in Beirut Port was intervened in a way that would not threaten life safety.
