Floods and landslides caused destruction in the South Sulawesi region of Indonesia. More than 100 houses, some roads, and a bridge received major damage, while 42 houses were completely destroyed. The National Agency for Disaster Countermeasure stated that a total of 15 people, 14 of whom were in Luwu, were killed. Four others survived the landslides and floods with injuries.

Egyptian media reports that ceasefire talks between Hamas and Israel in Gaza, mediated by Qatar and Egypt, are set to resume next week. Israel is awaiting Hamas’s response to the ceasefire offer.
