Former Obama Advisor Sparks Outrage for Harassing NYC Street Vendor Over Israel-Palestine Issue

Stuart Seldowitz, a former advisor during Barack Obama’s presidency, faced backlash after a video emerged showing him verbally harassing an Egyptian street vendor in New York City. In the footage, Seldowitz is seen engaging in a confrontation at a food stand, making inflammatory remarks about the Israel-Palestine conflict. The seller politely asked him to move away, Seldowitz said, “There is no one here. I will put signs here saying ‘This man believes in Hamas’.” Accusing the Egyptian seller of being a “terrorist”, Seldowitz responded to the seller’s words “You are killing the children, not me” and said: “Do you know what would happen if we killed 4,000 Palestinian children? It wasn’t enough,” he replied. The incident drew strong reactions on social media, prompting criticism for his behavior towards the vendor.
