S.A., also known as ‘Berxwedan,’ originally went from Batman to Istanbul seeking work but ended up joining the PKK terrorist organization. His confession sheds light on the organization’s vulnerabilities. Due to the effective efforts of the Batman Police Department, eight terrorists have surrendered in the last eight months, making it a total of 39 since the start of the Diyarbakır mothers’ protest in 2019.

S.A. explained that he was initially lured by HDP members in Istanbul, promising him work in Europe. However, he was taken to organization camps in Greece and Syria instead. In Syria, he became part of a team digging caves, tunnels, and ditches. He described their constant surveillance by Turkish UAVs and UCAVs, making their work difficult and leading to unfortunate deaths among their friends due to airstrikes.
