gasoline distibition stops in iran, long queues formed

Gasoline sales have stopped due to a cyber-attack on the fuel distribution system, including the capital Tehran, in Iran. Long queues of vehicles formed in front of gas stations. Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi denied the allegations that there would be an increase in gasoline price and stated that they should not worry about the public and that the problem would be resolved in a short time.

Tehran Governor Mohsen Mansouri said that gasoline sales can be made manually at some gas stations and that gasoline will be calculated at the free price. Mansouri stated that the problem occurred in the card system, which is used to buy gasoline at a cheaper price. “In some stations, petrol can be sold manually at a free price. We will solve the malfunction in the gasoline distribution system at all stations in a short time,” Mansouri said.
