A commemoration event was held in Gaza, Palestine, to honor the tens of thousands of people who lost their lives in the earthquakes that hit Türkiye and Syria with Kahramanmaraş as the epicenter. Participants held candles, Turkish and Syrian flags, and banners expressing their solidarity with the victims.
The Mayor of Gaza expressed their sadness and solidarity with the affected countries and announced that employees of Gaza Municipality will donate a day’s salary for the earthquake victims. The Mayor also called for global support for the affected countries.
