The Palestinian Health Ministry said Israeli strikes on Gaza since October 7, 2023, have killed 64,718 people and injured 163,859. In the past 24 hours alone, 72 were killed and 356 wounded.
Attacks on aid distribution sites have left 2,465 dead and nearly 18,000 injured, while famine conditions have caused 411 deaths, including 142 children. The ministry warned that deaths from starvation have sharply increased since the UN declared a famine in Gaza in August.
Footage from Gaza City’s al-Nasr neighborhood showed children fleeing in panic as an Israeli airstrike hit near a playground.
