Germany carried out aid delivery to Gaza by air for the first time. The German Air Force said that their two C-130 type planes took off from Jordan and dropped 4 tons of food in 4 pallets.
“The people of Gaza lack basic necessities. For this reason, air force transport planes will deliver food and medicine from the air,” said German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius before the operation.
The 2025 Caner Gönyeli Search and Rescue Exercise ended with a sea drill off Gazimağusa, Northern Cyprus. In a scenario involving a migrant-carrying yacht and a cargo ship collision, Turkish and TRNC teams launched immediate rescue operations. Survivors were saved by helicopter and boats; a fire set by migrants was extinguished. The final scenario simulated a tanker collision, ending with a salute by participating air and sea units.
