A passenger train derailed in the German state of Bavaria’s Garmisch-Partenkirchen region. Police and a medical team have arrived to the scene. According to police and local officials, at least three people have died and 60 others have been injured, with 16 of them critically. The injured were transferred by rescue helicopter to hospitals for treatment.
Railway company Deutsche Bahn announced that part of the road between Munich and Garmisch-Partenkirchen was closed due to rescue efforts.
