According to the data of the Greek Ministry of Health, 35, 580 corona virus cases were detected throughout the country in the last 24 hours, while a record was broken in the number of daily cases. With the latest data, the total number of cases in the country increased to 1,170 ,293. While 72 people lost their lives due to the virus in the last 24 hours, the total loss of life rose to 20,708.
Greek Health Minister Thanos Plevris urged the public to test before going out before Christmas due to the increasing number of cases. Minister Plevris stated that the majority of corona virus cases are caused by the Delta mutation of Covid-19, and said that the Omicron mutation is the dominant mutation due to its spread rate. He urged the public to be vaccinated.
