Workers in Greece went on strike due to rising living costs. On November 9, 2022, railway workers, taxi drivers, Aegean Air and Olympic Air employees, maritime workers, media workers, women’s associations, bankers, educational institution employees, teachers, and student groups participated in the Pan-Hellenic Workers’ Strike. The country’s largest protest took place in Athens, the country’s capital. Protesters and police officers clashed as they attempted to enter Athens’ parliament building.
