A prisoner exchange commenced in the Gaza Strip during a humanitarian pause. Hamas released 11 Israeli detainees while Qatar’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson announced the release of 33 Palestinian civilians in exchange for the Israelis. Among those freed from Israeli prisons were 30 children and 3 women.

The exchange involved individuals with various nationalities, handed over to the Red Cross. The ongoing ceasefire has seen the release of 39 Israelis and 19 foreign nationals by Hamas and 117 Palestinians by Israel.
