Heavy rains caused flashfloods in Kuwait last weekend. Vehicles were submerged in flooded roads, traffic was disrupted. Thunderstorms were experienced in some parts of Kuwait and the winds could reach up to 50 kilometers per hour, local Meteorology Department reported. Schools and universities were suspended across the country due to the heavy rains and flash floods, the Ministry of Education announced. Exams planned to be held today in secondary and high schools have been postponed and schools will be given additional time to organize the final exam dates.

The city has been decorated with TDT flags ahead of the summit, which will take place at the historic Varkert Bazar near the Danube.
Leaders from Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Hungary are expected to attend. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will also hold bilateral talks during his visit.
The summit will focus on deepening strategic cooperation among Turkic states, with discussions on economic ties, security, and cultural heritage. The event will conclude with the adoption of the Budapest Declaration.
