Hezbollah in Lebanon announced that they hit the Tel Haim military base, which belongs to the Israeli army’s military intelligence division, in Tel Aviv, Israel, with “qualified missiles.”
Israel has not made a statement on the incident.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced that Canada will recognize the State of Palestine during the 80th UN General Assembly in September 2025. Citing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the need to preserve the two-state solution, Carney emphasized that peace and security for both Palestinians and Israelis require mutual recognition. He reaffirmed Canada’s support for Israel’s existence and pledged Canada’s cooperation in shaping a peace framework and delivering aid to Gaza.
