Hong Kong Sends Rescue Team to Aid Türkiye After Earthquakes

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region sent a rescue team of 59 people to Türkiye to help with the search and rescue efforts following two earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş. The team, which includes 2 doctors and 2 nurses, set off from Hong Kong International Airport last night with aid materials weighing about 10 tons. A reinforcement team of 30 people has been determined in case of need. The Chinese rescue team will work under the coordination of Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD). Turkish citizens and local residents in Hong Kong and Macau are also working to send aid to Turkey.

Additionally, Officials from the Hong Kong authorities visited the Consulate General of Turkey to convey their condolences.
