A drunk driver plowed into a group of cyclists and pedestrians on their way to visit the Basilica Guadalupe in Mexico City, capital of Mexico. Head trauma found in 4, and 5 others suffered bone fracture among 12 injured. The patients were transferred to hospitals with ambulances. The people at the scene withheld the driver who attempted to escape, where he was detained shortly after security arrived.
The necessary steps will be taken to punish those responsible for the incident to the fullest extent possible, Mexico City Governor Claudia Sheinbaum said.
