At the hot air balloon festival held in the city of Leon, in the Mexican state of Guanajuato, 14 people were injured as one of the balloons went out of control and fell onto the audience. While world-renowned DJs Tiesto and Martin Garrix were performing at the festival, one of the hot air balloons tied to the ground got out of control during Tiesto’s performance.
The Leon Secretariat of Security and Civilian Protection stated that 6 of the casualties, who were in serious condition, were taken to the hospital.
The authorities stated that an investigation was launched into the accident.
