The Alanya Environmental Education and Blue Flag Association, led by President Şerefnur Kayhan, and environmental officer Aslıhan Current have identified and protected 20 loggerhead sea turtle nests on the beach of the TUI Blue Pasha Bay Hotel. The association is monitoring numerous nesting sites in Alanya, Türkiye and has already seen hatchlings from three nests. Kayhan stressed the importance of protecting these endangered species and allowing hatchlings to reach the sea independently. Despite some nests being lost due to unreported relocations, the association continues its protective measures, with over 300 nests under their protection and an estimated total of nearly a thousand nests.
