Yemen’s Houthi forces claim to have launched missile and drone attacks on two US aircraft carriers in the Red Sea and Oman Sea.
Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree told Al Masirah TV that two cruise missiles and two drones targeted the USS Harry S. Truman in the northern Red Sea. A second operation, involving three missiles and four drones, allegedly struck the USS Carl Vinson and its escort ships in the Oman Sea.
There has been no official response from the US military. The attacks follow recent US airstrikes on Houthi positions in Yemen, ordered by former President Donald Trump to secure regional maritime routes.
