The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that a missile launched from Yemen by Iranian-backed Houthi forces was successfully intercepted. Sirens were triggered in over 100 locations across Israel, prompting thousands to seek shelter. Flights at Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport were temporarily halted for safety.

The Houthis have been targeting Israel and Red Sea vessels since Israel’s offensive on Gaza began on October 7, 2023.
