Yemen’s Houthi forces announced they have shot down 18 US drones, including 10 MQ-9 UAVs, since the Israel-Gaza conflict began in October 2023. Spokesman Yahya Saree said the latest drone was downed over Al-Jawf with a locally made missile. He vowed continued attacks on US warships and support for Palestinians until the Gaza blockade ends.
In response, the US resumed airstrikes on Yemen on March 15. Local health officials report at least 79 deaths, including women and children, since the strikes began.
