Human Rights Watch warned Israel of using hunger as a weapon and turning US-backed aid deliveries into daily massacres. HRW’s Belkis Wille said, “The Israeli army not only deliberately starves Palestinians but also shoots desperate people seeking food for their families on an almost daily basis.” Since May 27, 1,330 Palestinians have been killed and 8,818 injured during aid distributions. HRW called on governments to pressure Israel to lift aid restrictions and end lethal crowd control tactics.
