Debris removal works continue in Hatay, which was most affected by the earthquakes that occurred on February 6 in the Kahramanmaraş province of Türkiye. Authorities said that 82.9 percent of the debris in the city has been removed so far. Except for the noise caused by the debris removal works, the city is pretty quiet.
“It is a sad situation. We are watching with sadness. There is nothing else we can do. The works are progressing fast, but it will be better if they get faster. Our hope is that we get up as soon as possible,” says Nuri Gün, a local.
