The 2026 Martyr Lieutenant Caner Gönyeli Search and Rescue Invitation Exercise has successfully concluded following its comprehensive maritime phase in international waters. The operations commenced as the flagship TCSG Yaşam vessel departed from Gazimağusa Port to execute a series of planned emergency scenarios. High-ranking officials, including the Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Ünal Üstel, and Türkiye’s Deputy Minister of Interior, Kübra Güran Yiğitbaşı, observed the drills firsthand. Representatives from eight partner nations, including Azerbaijan, Pakistan, and Libya, were also aboard the flagship to witness the coordinated multinational response capabilities.
