Iran Downs US MQ-9 Drone

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps announced it has destroyed a US military MQ-9 drone using its advanced air defense systems. To back their claim, Iranian forces released video footage allegedly showing the unmanned aircraft being shot out of the sky. Tensions recently flared after US forces launched retaliatory strikes on Iran, following reports that a US military helicopter was downed near the strategic Strait of Hormuz.
