Iran: Recent Developments Will Impact Diplomacy

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baghaei warned that recent military developments will directly impact diplomatic efforts to end the current conflict. Speaking at his weekly press conference, he emphasized that achieving a ceasefire in Lebanon has always been a fundamental condition for halting hostilities. Baghaei dismissed US President Donald Trump’s claims of being unaware of recent attacks in Lebanon, pointing instead to the US State Department’s open justification of the war as a defense of Israel. He further asserted that, contrary to American diplomatic statements, US Central Command (CENTCOM) remains in full coordination with the Israeli military on both offensive and defensive operations.
