Israeli Army Spokesperson Effie Defrin said forces have entered the first phase of their planned attack on Gaza City, securing control of the outskirts after clashes with Hamas.
The operation, approved by the Security Cabinet and Defense Minister Israel Katz, is part of “Gideon’s Chariots B” and will mobilize around 60,000 reserve soldiers.
