The 4-day humanitarian pause brokered by Qatar between Israel and Hamas took effect today. During this break, activity surged on Saladin Street, a dividing line between the north and south of the Gaza Strip. Residents who had fled from the north to the south amid the Israeli attacks attempted to return northwards. Carrying their belongings, including clothes and blankets, Gazans encountered Israeli soldiers blocking their path back to the north. Israeli forces prevented Palestinians from re-entering their homes, instructing them to return southward.

More than 100 people were detained in Los Angeles, USA, after protests against immigration raids by ICE turned violent. Demonstrators clashed with police and set vehicles on fire near the federal detention center downtown.
Mayor Karen Bass blamed “marginal groups” for the violence, stating, “This has nothing to do with real immigrant rights protests.” She urged the Trump administration to halt immigration operations, calling them a source of fear and chaos.
