The Global Sumud Flotilla, carrying around 500 activists on 44 ships to deliver aid to Gaza, announced that Israel intercepted 21 vessels, detaining 223 people.
Organizers said 23 boats are still advancing toward Gaza, and one vessel, the Mikeno, has entered Gaza’s territorial waters. Israel confirmed the detained activists were taken to its territory and that deportation procedures to Europe have begun.
