The Israeli army launched airstrikes on Yemen’s Hodeidah Port and a nearby cement factory in retaliation for a Houthi missile attack that hit Ben Gurion Airport, injuring six people.
The Israeli military described the port as a key hub for Iranian weapons and financing for the Houthis. The Bajil cement factory was also targeted. The strikes mark a rare Israeli military operation 2,000 km from its territory. Casualties from the Yemen strikes remain unknown.
