Israeli forces conducted airstrikes targeting civilians in Rafah and Gaza city, resulting in the loss of 27 Palestinian lives. The attacks, part of ongoing violence since October 7, struck three houses in Rafah and areas in Gaza city, claiming the lives of 20 Palestinians, including 5 children, and 7 civilians. Many others were injured and hospitalized. The attacks also extended to the Bureij Refugee Camp in central Gaza, escalating tensions in the region.
Hundreds of thousands of Iranians took to the streets after Friday prayers to protest Israel’s recent attacks on the country. The largest gatherings occurred in the capital, Tehran, where demonstrators marched following prayers at Tehran University.
High-ranking officials, including Iran’s Constitutional Court head Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei and former IRGC commander Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari, joined the protest. Participants waved Iranian, Palestinian, and resistance group flags, and trampled on Israeli and US flags laid on the ground.
Protesters held banners reading “Down with Israel”, “Down with the US”, and “The Zionist regime will be destroyed”, while chanting slogans such as “We stand behind our leader”, “Everyone who clashed with Khamenei will eventually be destroyed”, and “Our right to nuclear weapons”.
