Israeli prisoner Elad Katzir, held by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, pleaded for the Israeli government to end the conflict. Katzir expressed gratitude for being alive after three months in Gaza and urged for a ceasefire to prevent further casualties among soldiers and captives. He called for negotiations with Hamas for a prisoner exchange and offered condolences for the death of another Israeli prisoner, Tamir Adar.
Katzir’s mother had been released earlier in a prisoner exchange, and images of Katzir with another Israeli prisoner, Gadi Mozes, were previously published.
