Journalists from the Shehab News Agency, including Hasan Hamad, Hussam Shabat, and Malak Abu Hussein, faced gunfire from Israeli forces while covering developments in Gaza’s Zeytun District. The agency shared images capturing the moment of the attack, stating, “The occupation army opened direct fire on journalists.” The footage reveals journalists wearing vests labeled “Press” and hastily leaving the area after gunshots were heard. This incident adds to the ongoing concerns about Israel’s targeting of journalists in the Gaza Strip. The Gaza government’s Media Office reports that 130 journalists have lost their lives in Israeli attacks since October 7.
