Israeli forces bombed several areas of Gaza overnight, killing 40 Palestinians, including women and children, according to local officials.
Authorities reported that 27 people died in strikes on Khan Younis, with journalist Hassan Samour among the victims. Hospitals in southern Gaza received at least 36 bodies.
The Palestinian Health Ministry said the death toll in Gaza since October 7, 2023, has reached 52,928, with 119,846 injured.
