The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office stated that the Israeli security cabinet met to discuss the ceasefire and prisoner swap agreement reached with Hamas in the Gaza Strip and recommended that the government approve it.
“After examining the diplomatic, security and humanitarian aspects, the Ministerial Committee for National Security Affairs (Security Cabinet) recommended that the government approve the proposed agreement with the understanding that the agreement supports the achievement of the war’s objectives,” said the office.
It was stated that the cabinet, which will give final approval to the ceasefire agreement, will meet again in the coming minutes.
