Israeli forces bombed the Türkiye-Palestine Friendship Hospital in Gaza’s Al-Zahra, rendering it completely unusable. Smoke was seen rising from the site after the attack.
The Israeli army has not issued an official statement, but COGAT, an Israeli military body, previously claimed Hamas was using the hospital as a command center.
The facility, built by Türkiye for cancer treatment, had been repurposed as an Israeli military base before forces withdrew on January 19. It had been out of service since November 2023 due to Israeli attacks.
