Thousands of protesters across Israel blocked major highways at dawn, demanding the government accept a ceasefire and prisoner swap agreement in Gaza. Demonstrators set tires on fire, shut down Tel Aviv’s Ayalon Highway, and gathered outside the US Embassy.
The protests, organized by the Forum for the Families of Hostages and Missing Persons, also disrupted routes linking Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Police later reopened the roads, warning that unauthorized closures endanger public safety. More marches are planned this afternoon, especially in Tel Aviv.
