Families of Israeli prisoners and hundreds of others in Israel gathered in the capital Tel Aviv and occupied Jerusalem this evening to hold a protest, demanding the release of Israelis prisoned by Hamas. Holding Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responsible for the captivation of the Israelis, the demonstrators called him to resign and chanted “Netanyahu, surrender yourself to Hamas instead of our children.” The demonstration in front of Netanyahu’s house in Jerusalem was harshly intervened by the police.
