Istanbul’s Büyükçekmece Lake Deplete Amid Heatwave

As Istanbul grapples with high temperatures, the city’s dams are feeling the strain with their occupancy rate falling to 37.21 percent. Büyükçekmece Dam Lake, in particular, has seen a significant decrease in water level, dropping from 74.37 percent occupancy last year to 18.02 percent.
