Jacinda Ardern, the 42-year-old former Prime Minister of New Zealand who resigned on January 19, made a farewell speech in parliament. The session was attended by former prime ministers, Ardern’s family, her former employees, and members of the Muslim community. Ardern talked about her experiences in the political career she started at an early age, and as someone who is expecting a new baby, she mentioned that the climate crisis is a critical problem that should be given importance by every country and be approached separately from politics as it will affect future generations.

Ardern became the world’s youngest female prime minister at the age of 37 in 2017 and the second Prime Minister to become a mother while in office.
